I am 22, and graduating from Emerson College this year with a degree in Film. I am a Baha'i, and one of the main principles of my Faith is the establishment of equality between women and men, so this is an important donation to me. I was born and grew up in Porto Velho, Brazil and have since traveled to many countries. I'm working on my thesis, a science fiction film about evolution of society, and I'm also working on different documentary projects. So this is not my first film, but it's the shortest and biggest that I've ever worked on! Most of my other films can be seen on my website, which I have been working on for a while. In the attached picture, I have a postcard for the 1 Second Film in my shirt pocket. I am in front of the Baha'i Lotus Temple, during my recent trip to New Delhi, India. I am financing the 1 Second Film because it's such an original idea, I thought it was a joke at first. I also think the proceeds are going to an important cause. The moment in my life that would make a good 1 second film was when Brazil won the soccer World Cup in 1994. Luis Dechtiar

Our daughter, Abby, graduated from the University of Evansville (Evansville, IN) on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Graduation was held in Roberts Stadium in Evansville, IN. We are so proud of her!
