On Easter Sunday we hold our Annual Easter Shoot.
A FITA 70m & Head-to-Head Tournament. The only H2H in Wales btw
And by all accounts everyone has a good time.
- The 2012 shoot was well attended and all the archers enjoyed themselves despite the variable weather conditions. A number of Castle Bowmen members were competing in their first Head to Head event, and in the final results the club took the top 3 Gent Recurve positions.
In June we hold our 'Doug Woodley' shoot.
A series of gentle rounds to attract the newer archer.
The tournament is named after one of the founder members of Castle Bowmen.
In 2011 Many of Castle Bowmen's newer members shot their first tournament,
with some encouraging results, with most competitors shooting a Personal Best for the round.
With Tina, Alison, Dan, Alex, Dave and Stephen all winning medals.
For 6 years, 2007-2012, Castle Bowmen held the Glamorgan Senior Indoor target Championships in our superb Indoor Shooting hall.
Many records were claimed over the years and many of Castle's members, some shooting for the first time, won many medals.
Castle Bowmen has had The Glamorgan Champion as a member for many years, with many more archers showing promise to be County champions of the future. |
