Aleksander
Furtak - as a few year old boy he found strange drawings depicting people
with animal heads in a children’s encyclopaedia. The pictures remained etched
in his memory until when his fascination made him reach in the age of 13 for
his first popular science book. Since then, the moneybox has remained empty
because he has spent all his savings not on chocolates or lollipops but on
books "about Egypt". In 2009 Aleksander is going to take his
maturity exam and he is already sure that he will choose archaeology for the
main subject of his studies. He is also interested in impressionist painting,
the history of Poland up to the 15th century, the history of Lublin and
regions. As for the things he does for pleasure, he does amateurishly...
ski-jumping and he makes copies of Egyptian tomb stelae. He is a member of
the Lovers of Egypt Association HERHOR.
