Turtle Salad

There might be a story … and if there is a story it is titled: "We are surrounded by turtles" I never arrange things. I take what I find and try different angles to capture the idea or story behind it. (Which is a lie. People tend to lie to themselves. I guess I took something disturbing away in the background. But I am so convinced that I do never touch the scene that I can't remember.) I found that paper on the table coming home from work. Our daughter learned to use a scissor some weeks ago. Now one of us has to hold a sheet of paper for her and she cuts. I asked if there is any special about those pieces and was told that they are "turtle salad"

Note the different couplers. I cut pieces from the 4" stiff perforated pipe used in landscape or weeping tiles. The Flex-drain pipe is also 4" but it fits nicely into the other pipe. I cut my water shaft holes with scissors and placed a piece of old bike tubing over the hole to prevent soil from falling into perforated pipe. Walk into your local bike shop and ask them for old bicycle tubes. They throw them out. If your holes are tight you can skip the bike tube procedure.
