You can call it a blog or a movie review site; I don't care as long as you make sure to watch them all.

Life is beautiful

19-Jul-2006

One of the most inspiring movies in the world, and I can say this with certainty. Benigni (Director and Lead role) has done a marvelous job that the world cannot forget. The movie revolves around WW2 and how a father struggles to hide the ugly face of this horrible war from his son. All awards are truly deserved.

Abre los ojos (Open your eyes)

19-Jul-2006

Great imaginative work. Forces you to think beyond dreams. A love-story, science fiction, thriller and art at the same time. A must watch. Vanilla sky is a hollywood remake of this (originally spanish) movie. The best part about the movie ... Penelope Cruz !!! She is too good.

Before Sunrise

19-Jul-2006

Nice, slow and well-scripted dialogue. Many people of my generation go through these thoughts and brainwaves so it is so natural to relate it with one's own life. The movie offers a lot to see, hear and feel. Don't miss it if you are not an action freak.

Matrubhoomi - A world without women

19-Apr-2006

Matrubhoomi (2004) unconditionally qualifies to be a masterpiece. Very few Indian movies have a plot of this strength. A nation without women. It is a depressing subject (not my type) though, but handled by the director so amazingly that it doesn't let you even blink your eyes. Gives a relentlessly hard hit to your heart and stomach.

Talk to her (Hable con ella)

02-May-2006

A genuinely insipiring spanish movie. Emotions and perseverance of a person who falls in love with a 'non-living' girl. A must-watch for everyone. This movie has the ability to strengthen your beliefs about true love. Don't miss the touching song by Caetano Veloso, 'Cucurrucucú Paloma'.

Two great persian movies - Children of heaven, Color of Paradise

02-May-2006

If you aren't familiar with the Persian cinema, you can start with these two movies. These will not only tell you that you have been missing a great inspiring genre in your life but also touch your heart and soul way too deep.
