Was tagged some time ago by hksmith02....but just now getting around to posting.....no self portrait, but here's something a little different from one of our flower gardens :-) 10 things about me...... 1. I was born in 1969 & raised in the midwest in the small town of Litchfield, IL; the oldest of four children; parents were self-employed RV dealer & campground co-owners before retiring a couple years ago. 2. I have a Bacherlor's Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University, and a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (New York City). Wanted to be an FBI profiler, but that never panned out. 3. I lived in New York City for three years while attending graduate school and loved every minute of it......started out in Manhattan for a short time, then lived in Brooklyn for a few months, and finally settled in Queens for the last two years I was there. 4. Started my career in the early 90's and have gone from providing therapy services to substance abusers, sexual offenders, and domestic batterers to investigating child abuse & neglect and now working as a Quality Assurance Specialist for our state's Children & Family Services Department. 5. Met my "soul mate" in 1997 while working for the Department of Corrections as a sex offender therapist (he is a parole agent) and married in 2000......made it easy for him to always remember how many years we have been married. He is my best friend :-) 6. No children of my own, but I do have a 26 year-old step-son who lives nearby; is finishing college; and planning to marry his "soul mate" next year. 7. My ultimate goal is to purchase a vacation home somewhere out west....Montana, Wyoming, or Colorado....and eventually settle there when we retire. 8. Love to travel.....try to take at least two vacations a year, sometimes three if we can fit it in....prefer the mountains but love tropical destinations as well. Also love to read....James Patterson is my favorite but I also enjoy true crime novels, especially those about serial killers (a little weird I know but I find it so fascinating). 9. Thoroughly enjoy my new found passion of photography.....constantly learning new things and striving to refine my skills.....always looking for ways to improve. 10. Love having a forum to post my photography; meet new friends; and learn from others. With all that said.....here are 10 of my flickr friends that I would like to know more about...... Katherine was raised in Washington DC, but lived in Europe 15 yrs. Returned to US just in time to be pummeled bringen both Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Truely a survivor. Loves swimming, computers, reading, and working on her 1st novel. Looking for a male caring man for companionship and friendship.
