| My Philosophy for Educating a Mosaic of ChildrenI desire to foster a classroom where students feel challenged past their current abilities - in all subjects and in life. I desire for my students to know that the expectations of them are high, but that I don’t just expect a lot of them - that I really know that they can succeed. I am hoping that by my recognizing their cultures and differences, it will show them that I know who they are, but that I still believe in them. So that though they may come across teachers in their next years, who neither know who they are, nor believe they are worth knowing; I desire that each of my students walks away from my class knowing that they are precious, wanted, important, and able to do anything…even be the president of the United States, if they want to be.
