The brainwave frequencies are: Alpha (8 Hz - 12 Hz - Awake, mild/moderate stimulation), Beta (15 Hz - 25 Hz - Awake, moderate/excited stimulation), Delta (0.5 Hz - 4 Hz - Stage 3 Sleep, Stage 4 Sleep), Theta (4 Hz - 8 Hz - Stage 1 Sleep and REM Sleep), and Spindles (12 Hz - 15 Hz - Stage 2 Sleep, often with K-Complex). You cannot measure brainwave BW frequencies unless you have an amplifier which will amplify electronic signals in the infrasound bandwidth (BW). Even the highest quality, most expensive audio amplifiers don't amplify signals much below 20 Hz (the human lower hearing limit) - they cannot amplify infrasonic BW sounds of the brainwave frequencies, so are useless for biofeedback purposes involving brainwaves or any other infrasonic BW sound, electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic phenomena. While oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers will display brainwave frequencies, because brain wave signals are extremely weak (microvolts), only the most expensive scopes will amplify them enough for decent viewing or analysis (and these usually require 1X probes). For most oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, you need an external infrasonic BW amplifier to provide adequate signal boosting if you want to view brainwave signals more than 1 cm peak-to-peak on the scope display. Furthermore, since scopes are wideband, noise frequencies above the infrasonic BW will also be amplified and displayed along with the BW frequencies (e.g. 60 Hz electrical power interference), thus making viewing and analysis of the brainwave frequencies and other infrasound frequencies on a commercial scope much more difficult and sometimes almost impossible. And unamplified brainwave signals are useless for any direct application for biofeedback, other brainwave and other infrasonic applications. This infrasound amplifier will amplify infrasonic frequences from 0.25 Hz to 25 Hz, with strong signal rejection above 30 Hz. Input impedance is very high. Tunable gain (volume control) up to an incredible 1,000,000 (100 db).
