Sam has set up shop in an otherwise abandoned building. Aside from performing odd jobs his operation recycles old windows, appliances and furniture. While most of the folks bring in their own stuff I suspect some of his material comes from urban scavengers. This is something of a good news/ bad news situation. The bad news is the neighborhood on the north side of the Highland Park & Detroit border is so bereft of businesses this is one of the few viable types of commerce. The good news is it demonstrates the resourcefulness of people in the community. That resourcefulness is going to be in high demand over the coming years for Detroiters.

Kent Fire And Rescue Service Free Trapped Driver

At 07:55 hours on the 9th of November Kent Fire and Rescue Service received a call to a road traffic collision involving a stationary scaffold lorry and a female driver of a Nissan car, 2 appliances from Dover were dispatched to the scene where the female driver was still trapped in the car. Meanwhile ambulance and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent Air Ambulance stabilized the casualty whilst efforts were made to release her, upon release the casualty was transferred to the Air Ambulance and flown to Hospital. The Cause of the incident is being investigated by Kent Police.
