Everyone knows that I love shooting water, but not in my house!! What you see is not a refinished, polished floor, it is about a half inch of water throughout our kitchen, dining room, and living room. When I got home yesterday I was greeted by an unusual smell (water soaking into our walls and floors) and a hissing sound (a stream of water hitting plastic bags under our kitchen sink). We had a pipe that goes from the hot water line to our dishwasher that had just disconnected!?!? It had sprayed water apparantly for most of the day on Monday! Today we bought a new dishwasher! Hooray! It will be delivered tomorrow. This was taken just after we discovered that Ata got the pipes mixed up, and we should have turned the mains off BEFORE disconnecting the water inlet pipe. At this point, Mr Ata's friend (our guest for the evening... we don't treat our guests with kid gloves) is putting the tap-timer from the backyard onto the water inlet for the dishwasher, so we can use the water overnight without causing localised flooding.
