Greetings AppleTree Families!

I cannot believe that we only have a few weeks left of school; we still have a lot of exciting events to come!  This year has been such a great school year and our students have progressed socially and academically in so many areas. As we approach outcome assessments for the end of the year, I look forward to see all of the amazing progress each individual student has made since the beginning of the school year.

There are a few reminders for this month:

Pre-K- Families- Please make sure you provide your child’s teachers with the school he/she will be attending in the Fall for Kindergarten. We would like to display their school and name on our board located in the front of the school.

Pre- K Families- Graduation is quickly approaching. Please have your daughter wear a white dress and have your son dressed in a white shirt and blue slacks. If you have any questions please feel free to contact administration for more details.

All Families:

Summer school is quickly approaching. Summer school runs from June 25- July 20. If you have not paid any remaining balances from this school year you will not be able to enroll your child for summer school 2012. Please check in with the front office for balance information.

During summer school students are not required to wear school uniforms. However, per our handbook we request that all students’ wear closed toed shoes; no open toed shoes will be allowed.  We are also asking all families to please bring a water bottle each day for recess and field trips. DC summers are often very hot and humid and we want to make sure our students have plenty of water when they are out of the building.

Summer Curriculum-

This summer our students will be enjoying a fun interactive curriculum around the ““World of Sports”. This curriculum will provide students with an in depth look at a variety of sports along with a weekly field trip.
