Dormant Long Under: Chapter 1: Part 2: A Bargain
Dormant Long Under: Chapter 1: Part 2: A Bargain
"How about we strike a deal. You help me, I'll help you." I said, crossing my arms. Harkin took a step forward. "What do you need then?" I staggered out of my seat, and stood with my back to Harkin. "You remember my old friend, Rosk Valedian?" After a moment of hesitation, Harkin nodded. "The Reegur soldier?" I turned my neck, to lock eyes with the Admiral. "He...disappeared. His old friend, Niles Johnson, sold out his location to the Xembact. I need to find him before they do, and to do that I need Johnson." Harkin turned around, chin in his palms. "Any leads?" "He owns an apartment in the boulevard on the far side of The Coop. His trail ends there." Harkin sighed, and loaded a Thermo-cooler into his pistol. "You've got yourself a deal." The boulevard was bustling with crowds, which soon proved to be a problem. Prodigan beggers bumped into you, desperately shouting out their need for spare chits. No matter how many times I tried to slither through, another one joined, forming a wall, blocking me from Johnson's doorstep. Eventually, I threw my hand to my pistol and fired two shots in the air, scattering them. My shot was dampened by the roar of the cars soaring above, which was a good thing; the little law enforcement the Coop had would be on me if they had heard it, for both the crimes I had commited today. The apartment was a small thing, one door placed at the front, and a holographic interface to open it. It was locked, so I'd have to knock. Surely he wasn't expecting us... I slammed my fist on the door in a repeated motion, Harkin at my side. After a few minutes of painful waiting, the door slid open, and Johnson stood before me, a lit cigarette clutched between his fingers. "Can I he-" He was cut off by me thrusting my knee into his abdomen, making him stumble backwards. Before he could trip over himself, I gripped his throat, dragging him across the metal floor, making a dull scraping sound. "Don't act like you don't know. What'd you tell the Xembact!" He spat. "Go to hell. Sharing secrets is bad for business." I shoved my knee into his stomach again, and broke his nose, pinning him against the wall with my arm. "Having every bone in your body broken doesn't help either." I bellowed. "Who the hell d'you think you are?" "Someone who's willing and able to put you in a world of pain." I turned my pistol in my hands, right in front of his face. "Tell me what I want to know, and you'll atleast be alive at the end of the day." He started to panic. "Damnit, put that away! I'll tell you everything!" I holstered it. "Start talking." "I told them that Rosk was doing some military work in the lower level of the Coop! In the factory district!" I let go of him, allowing his knees to buckle. "They haven't gotten there yet, you can still save him if you hurry!" I nodded slowly. "Harkin, take the main passage! I'll flank you!" With that, we burst out of the small apartment door, leaving Johnson a crippled messs, propped up against the wall. Maybe I'd help him later, maybe not. Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR
Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR
For the 2011 SEMA show, the Chrysler Group’s Mopar Underground team created a Challenger image vehicle with some cool ties to modern history. Influenced by the success of the Mopar Drag Pak Challenger and more recently, the Dodge Viper SRT10® ACR resetting the production car lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany, Mopar Underground created the Dodge Challenger ACR based on the stellar Challenger SRT8 392. Some of Dodge’s and SRT’s best handling vehicles of all-time come with the ACR acronym attached to them, and the Challenger ACR is no different. The Challenger ACR is a no-frills homage to the original option-delete cars of the 1960s and 70s. Equipped with Mopar parts, such as a coil-over suspension, front-and rear-strut tower braces, short-throw shifter, front splitter, cat-back exhaust, custom exhaust headers and a set of Goodyear F1 Supercar performance tires, the Challenger ACR is an animal that has as much bark as its cornering bite. Performance enhancements in the interior include carbon fiber door panels, front race bucket seats with openings for a racing harness and the rear seat is removed and replaced by a roll bar and fire extinguisher. An SRT three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, SRT gauge cluster, custom bright pedal kit, Mopar Drag Pack center stack and a carbon fiber center console finish off the interior modifications. The exterior has design cues similar to those found on the Viper SRT10 ACR, including a white body, charcoal painted roof, carbon fiber hood, rear deck lid, rear spoiler and tail lamp surround and an offset flame red stripe that runs the length of the car. Red painted mirror caps and brake calipers, unique black painted five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and red “ACR” fender badging finish off the exterior design details. The white and red theme carries over to the interior with white accents on the carbon fiber door panels, red armrest bars with white foam padding, red door latch release tethers, red painted roll bars and red accents on the carbon fiber racing seats covered in black Katzkin leather.
