 4-WAY SPEECH CONTEST

Topic:  What the Rotary 4-Way Test Means to Me – choose any topic and discuss how it incorporates the 4 tenets of the “Four Way Test of the Things We Think, Say, or Do”.

You will write a speech that explains how the Rotary 4 Way Test influences (or should influence) life in general.  The 4 Way Test is a basic template for solving problems, no matter the size.

Those who CHOOSE to will participate in the Bartlesville Rotary's 4 Way Speech contest and will have the opportunity to win monetary prizes. Those students will give their speech (from memory) to a group of Rotarians at Bartlesville High School in January.  The winner from that contest will advance to further competitions.

Your speech is due to Mrs. Bostwick on the day we return in January.  If you are giving your speech to the Rotarians, it may be in any format (notecards, outline, etc.)  If you are NOT participating in the speech contest, it must be typed and written in MLA format.

Rubric - If you choose to participate in the speech, you will be graded using this rubric.

You will also give your speech to your peers in the weeks before the date in January so we can assist you in your preparations.
