This
is an introductory workshop intended to acquaint participants with key
principles of information and communications security and to make an
assessment of the information security needs of humanitarian and human
rights organizations. The workshop aims to help organizations define
the level of security required and to develop appropriate processes and
measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of
their information resources. The focus will be on identifying what
steps organizations need to take in order to evolve a secure
information and communication environment. Participants will also be
introduced to a few tools and techniques they could use at the
individual level to protect their information. This workshop is for the
average computer user and no special technical skills are assumed. |
