Marcel Breuer Cesca Knoll - 3
A wonderful upholstered seat and rattan back Cesca chair for Knoll designed by Marcel Breuer. Named "Cesca" as a tribute to Breuer's daughter Cheska. Like the Wassily chair by Breuer, this Bauhaus classic fits nicely into any modern decor. Found via thrift. Goodwill, $1.99. An amazing find in any condition, this one is near mint. This is an example of why thrift stores are as addictive as crack. UPDATE: Just discovered Breuer designed the seat to bevel down for comfort. As you can see in this photo, this may then in fact be a repro. If you can add to the conversation, let me know. Still, at $1.99, I'm thrilled.
