Day 287/365 2011 Some Days I Feel Like a Rat in a Cage
Day 287/365 2011 Some Days I Feel Like a Rat in a Cage
It has rained for like 30 of the last 40 days here and it finally cleared up this afternoon. But I was working, It's now almost dark when I get off, a sure sign that fall is upon us. Last weekend the trees were still green for the most part and I hope to get out this weekend to ride and see some sights. On a different front this is week 2 of going back to school yet again to someday earn a degree in something. Three classes short of a BS in Data Technologies, I came to the sad realization that there is no place in the real world for a 50 year old to start out as an Oracle developer with no experience. Hey college did teach me something! so I changed my major a year or so ago to accounting where age is not as much of a factor and working can be self employment rather than working for "the man." But with a son in college I let mine go for a while. This quarter I started back full force to take advantage of tuition assistance. So I am taking 2 classes, Intermediate accounting and legal 100 online (I hate online) and they are kicking my ass. Add to that a Harley in the garage begging me to go ride, so I feel like a rat in a maze of cages.
