Lucy & Co.
Lucy & Co.
Room for a client designed by Beth at Lucy and Company. Photograph with some paint on canvas (image to the right). Cool, huh? So, I have always had an interest in interior photography and now, working at Lucy and Company, I get to combine my love (& degree!) of Interior Design with my photography profession (which rocks!). I have been photographing a lot of rooms for Beth & clients and have done tons of research, but I just never feel like I can capture the type of images I am looking for when it comes to these shots. I know it is all about lighting, lighting, lighting, and of course the immense amount of time one needs to spend styling (like the intriquing shots in Domino, which is a while 'nother "styling" topic) so what the heck am I missing? I always study my old Domino mags and other photographer's work and try to emulate it with my own spin, but I just feel like I need some more practice and advice, ESPECIALLY since I am booking some of these shoots and having some photos published in shelter magazines around town. I need them to be GREAT! So flickr friends, have any tips of the trade or advice to share? Oh! And I bought a book called "Interior Photography: Lighting and Other Professional Techniques with Style"...I hope it helps! :)
