Foods you like, despise, can't eat (allergies, etc.) I pretty much stay away from foods in these sorts of swaps...I am working out more & trying to eat fresher foods - the less temptation, the better. :) I have no allergies & a complete sweet tooth! I've been trying different wines lately: I love Cab Sav, Pinot Noir & Red Zinfandel for reds. Whites are awesome too, especially Pinot Grigio! I'm trying to find my "signature" cocktail - so far not much luck beyond the gin & tonic, which I love but want something a little more...I don't know. Coffee vs. tea? I definitely like both but have become a bit of a Starbucks consumer the last 10 months or so - getting up early isn't my thing but I have to b/c of the new job. Where do you live? I live in CT - I love New England, especially in fall! Favorite yarns / fabrics? My favorite yarns are superwash merino, usually more than 1 ply. MadTosh, Cascade 220 & Ella Rae are fave worsted yarns. So many sock yarns(like MadTosh & Plucky Knitter), so little time is my motto of late. I have been trying to stay away from variegated yarns but a few call my name once in awhile. I just love yarn & with the exception of novelty yarns like fun fur, I'll try any of them. I don't sew, but really really want to give it a try. I have my grandmother's old machine & it still works! I'm hoping to start learning to use it this fall. Crafty pursuits - knit, crochet, spin, sew, quilt, make friendship bracelets, any of these or others? I knit, crochet, make friendship bracelets. Once in awhile, I put beads on string & call it a necklace(ha!). Sometimes I worry I'm in a craft rut, however, I really like what I know how to do. And I have limited space, so I am trying to keep my stashes/crafts to a minimum. Oh, I also have a few embroidery patterns that I want to try. Hobbies/pursuits/proclivities/passions (other than the aforementioned crafty ones, obvs) I read, write, play with my cats, hang with friends, watch tons of tv & movies while I craft. I love music & have a guitar. I'd love to take lessons again. What do you do in life? (job, career, school, family, etc.) I work as the circulation supervisor of a smallish library at a women's college in Connecticut. I was attending classes, working toward a second bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, but because work has been so busy & I'm new to running the circulation desk, I have let the school side of me lapse. I'm pretty sure I will start taking classes again in January. I'm married, have no kids, but 2 nieces & a nephew that I adore. What makes you happy? My partner, my family, my cats. I love getting to know people & sharing ideas. I love discussing books, movies, tv(my fave tv show of all time is Alias), politics(tricky subject, I know). I love crafting, shopping, travel. Random favorites -- colors, flavors, scents, books, movies, TV, magazines, genres, time of day, motifs (foxes, bees, squirrels, owls, beavers, mushrooms, bats) etc. My fave book is The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, but there are so many great books I've read that I do try not to choose a true favorite. My favorite show is Alias - I have the box set & watch it frequently - it's my "comfort tv" I guess. I also love Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Dexter, and I'm just starting to get into Doctor Who. As for colors, I am a huge fan of aquas, oranges(together is amazing), many shades of green(nothing too neon), grey, brown, purple, many shades of pink. I really love color. The only color I'm not crazy about is red, but I do find that I like darker reds. My coloring is Autumn(I think, Damn you, COLOR ME BEAUTIFUL!) & I tend to look best in autumn type shades, so I gravitate more toward those when crafting. As for motifs, I don't know if I really have adopted any as my own yet. I do love owls, though. And hedgehogs. I hope this answers all the questions. It is always challenging to answer so many questions about myself all at once! :)
