February - Mr. Jerry Hayes, Apiary inspection Chief at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will be conducting a question and answer session similar to his “The Classroom” published section in the American Bee Journal

March - Dr. Lambert Kanga, Associate Professor of Entomology, Florida A&M University, Center for Biological Control. Presentation Title: Microbial control of Varroa mites in honey bee colonies: six years of research of the use of fungal pathogens against the Varroa mite.

                April - Bob Livingston of Bobbees Honey and Pollination -                    Swarm management

May - Heather Gamper, president of ABA, will be discussing robbing your honey, and will conduct a live honey extraction demo with the association 4-frame extractor.

June - Florida Honey Queen, Jayla Gillaspie, will discuss the Florida honey queen program and demonstrate some honey cooking recipes.

July- Dr. Susan Drake, ABA member, will discuss bee sting allergies and review epipen certification

August- Dr. Jaime Ellis, Assistant Professor of Entomology, University of Florida Honey bee Research and Extension Lab
