Anxiety Medication Advice and Discussion
Do you really need to take Anxiety Medication??
Anxiety experience can be very overwhelming and leads many people to go after anxiety medication to ease the feelings.
I have personally suffered from anxiety for sometime and then I realize most of the time that the feeling was irrational. The problem was that it actually changed how I contacted my life since I became afraid of experiencing the dreaded feelings. Of course, I had to research how to fix this problem and that means checking with my doctor and also using my company's EAP program to get some advice. What I found is that without a strong resolve or recognition of the problem it can be very painful.
In retrospect I think there are several options to treat anxiety or basically to overcome the symptoms. A few of the main ones are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT) and some natural anxiety medication. The main focus has to be on personal resolve to overcome and believe in yourself. Its funny about that, because I was a very confident person before the first experience and then because I have doubt about the activity that triggered my anxiety feeling, I really started losing my self esteem slowly.
Fortunately for me, I did not take much anxiety medication, since from what I was told its just a band aid approach and could be addictive. It seem some of the natural versions can work to some extent but the jury is out on effectiveness. The issue with medication is that anxiety is caused by your own sub-conscious reasoning and no medication can change that permanently. Its a hard experience and will change your life forever but does not mean you won't be normal again. An area I will share in another post is Emotional Freedom therapy (EFT) which has lots of potential if done properly.
