CHAPERONE REQUIRED!!! ____________________ The Biology Honors class will be going on a field trip to Monterey Bay Aquarium on Feb 13th. I need 10 chaperones for the trip. It will be a full day commitment from 7:30-4:00 pm. This trip is a lot of fun and gives you a close up view of how your student is at school. In the past parents have really enjoyed the trip and I would really appreciate it if you would consider chaperoning the trip. I have done lots of planning to get this trip going and if I do not get my chaperones, I will have to cancel. The kids are really looking forward to this trip and I would hate to do that! If you can chaperone, please email me directly at anusarkar@gmail.com. Thank you! Mrs Sarkar 9/23 ____ We are completing our first 6 weeks grading period today. This has been an exceptionally busy 6 weeks of school and we have got a lot done. For the most part , your students have been doing an exceptional job in paying attention in class and doing the work assigned to them. There are a few that are very worried about their grade and so I wanted to remind you that this is merely a progress report. Most students have been improving and raising their score, but if their grade is not where you would like it to be, please encourage them to keep trying. Stress of performance can be very detrimental, and often causes them to blank out on tests. Remind them to work hard consistently , rather than just before tests, and come to class rested.
