This is our 'tempering valve'. It's job is to mix hot water from the tank with the cold supply and send non-burning hot water out to the house. It's been here since the house was built back in 1996, and is on it's 2nd hot water cylinder (behind and left). But it's been playing up for a while and has now sprung a leak (between the blue and silver faces) when there is water flowing. Will update later once fixed.....
