Devin was at the dining room table having a snack. I walked into the kitchen for a moment to put something away and turned around to see him flipping happily through the Pottery Barn catalog. "I like this, Mommy!" he says. Then he gets really excited when he finds a "D" on the page. You know...D for Devin? He doesn't care about any of the other letters. We've tried to teach him his ABCs but he's just like, whatever. But he loves the D and he points to them whenever he sees one. As you see here, we have the Bedford Collection, which he pointed out has "Two!" Two D's. He was in heaven. He even found the a tiny D next to one of the furniture items that's used to key the photos to the text. He sees them on cereal boxes and screams, "D FOR DEVIN!" in the grocery store. He's D-crazy. :) Even though he ignores our efforts with the other letters, he was asking me to identify entire words for him last night as we were reading. It's so exciting to watch him learn these new things.
