2003 manual sheep shearing with old-fashioned clippers
A popular part of the sheep and wool festival is the sheep shearing demonstration. This experienced shearer uses old razor-sharp manual shears to get the fleece off in this 2003 photo. I include it partly to show the difference in quality between the canon a20 2 megapixel camera I had then and the 20d I had in the 2007 photos also in this set.
Shearing Sheep
That is Bobbett and I shearing sheep....We sheared 4 sheep this afternoon. Wow a learning experience as each one was different. Fat, dirty, loose skin, and calmness all play a factor in shearing. I am still learning and i'm open to anyones ideas.
