Topic: Small Modular Reactors (SMR) technology and future power mix.
Ryan
S. Blinn is the Project Manager for the Advanced Reactor program within
Westinghouse Research & Technology. In this role, he is responsible
for supporting the advanced nuclear reactor technology programs beyond the
AP1000® reactor design, such as the Westinghouse Small Modular Reactor
(SMR). Leveraging the experience and resources from the Westinghouse organization,
Mr. Blinn coordinates the program, design, licensing, and planning activities
for the advanced reactor technologies. Mr. Blinn holds a B.S. in Chemical
Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the American
Nuclear Society and North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN), as
well as the Project Management Institute.

Joe Colvin, 2010-2011 President of the American Nuclear Society is a past President of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), past President of the Nuclear Management and Resources Committee, Inc. (NUMARC) and a former nuclear submarine officer for twenty years, reaching the rank of Commander. He also serves on several Board of Directors including Cameco Corporation, US Ecology Corporation, Foundation for Nuclear Studies (FNS) and the Southeastern Universities Nuclear Reactor Institute for Science and Education (SUNRISE). He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico; is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Hawaii.

Topic: "Carolina Nuclear Cluster: How the Carolina's has become the center of the nuclear industry."
Mark Fecteau is Chair of the Carolina’s Nuclear Business Cluster, a joint NC-SC effort focused on the growing Carolinas’ involvement in the nuclear energy field. He is also Managing Director of Change Leadership and a member of the core leadership team for Westinghouse Electric Company’s Operational Support & Core Process Innovation team.
Mr. Fecteau has extensive background in the commercial nuclear business. In the past decade, he has held various management and technical positions within Westinghouse in strategy, manufacturing, engineering and new plant licensing areas. He joined Westinghouse in 1984 as a nuclear design engineer. He has a BS and MS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
