Another London Road
Another London Road is a community group that arose in July 2008 in response to a threatened Tesco development in Brighton's London Road shopping area, between Preston Circus and York Hill.
The threat has apparently subsided for now, but we remain vigilant. A key factor in the future of London Road will be the Council's Supplementary Planning Document, which is due to be adopted in December 2009 following a consultation in the summer. This document will form part of the Local Development Framework, and as such will have a major influence on the Council's response to any planning applications it receives.
