The mission of the Anoka County Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and share the history of Anoka County with its citizens. The museum, located in Anoka, is open to the public and available for guided tours by appointment. ACHS tours include the annual Home and Garden Tour held in July; Ghosts of Anoka Tours held May through October, and Monuments to Life Cemetery Tours held in October. Be sure to visit us at the Anoka County Fair in July. We are located in the farmhouse on the Old Farm Place.

Operated under the auspices of ISD 15 Community Education the Sandhill Center for the Arts provides an opportunity for growth in the arts and serves as a positive community builder. Its purpose is to provide arts opportunities for the residents of the area.

Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts is a non-profit community art center serving as a well-spring for the arts for over 30 years. Programs include exhibitions, classes and workshops, literary readings, artist residencies, and communiity events.

The Blaine Arts Council is a volunteer organization open to all interested individuals including students. The mission of the Council is to promote, advance, and celebrate the arts in our community for the appreciation and participation of our residents.
Art Exhibits
The Blaine Arts Council selects artists to display their work at Blaine City Hall. Preference is given to artists who live in Blaine.
Advisory Role
The Blaine Arts Council advises the Parks and Recreation Department on arts programming. They give input and make recommendations for classes, instructors, entertainment, and other special events. Blaine Arts Council members have been instructors for classes and have volunteered for special events.
