Media RSS FeedThe Slide Show is a simple to use application of the Google AJAX Feed API that is designed to let you add photo slide shows to your Google Sites pages.
The slide show control takes photo feeds from all major host such as PhotoBucket, Flickr, Picasa, Smugmug and Yahoo.
Any feeds that use Media RSS can be used. We can configure a Media Feed RSS with javascript, or use a Google Gadget.
Feed from Picasa Albums WebOpen Picasa, click on an album. On the bottom right, search for RSS, and copy the address. You must get something like this :
http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/philippe.chappuis/albumid/5297196325809923457?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=fr This URL must be used as the File parameter of the gadget. The gadget will display the title of the feed and the caption of every picture.

Note : Use picasa-blog-time or picasa-gadget-nt to define the display time and the transition time of the pictures.
picasa-gadget-nt doesn't display the title of the feed and the legend of the pictures. Feed from PhotobucketOpen Photobucket, click on an album
Search the Feed button, on the bottom, labeled album feed
You must get an URL like this
http://feed266.photobucket.com/albums/ii244/prac53/henri-de-villamont/feed.rss This URL must be used as the File parameter of the gadget. The gadget will display the caption of every picture. I display the big version of the picture.

Search the Feed button, on the bottom, labeled Feed

Feed from Yahoo NewsYou can select the feed with a Category (World, Entertainment, Technology, Science, ...)
Clicking on the picture open the original page of Yahoo News.
