As well as being the driving force and inspiration behind Ann Rogerson's bid to swim Cook Strait, Carmel coaches the Roskill Master Swimmers

and can be seen poolside on Monday and Wednesday evenings encouraging her flock.

 

Carmel recently described Ann as a pleasure to coach, adding "Ann listens and thinks about what I have to say. She is the one doing the hard work

and putting in the time and effort that the crossing will take."
