Monoprint

I first discovered printmaking in the mid 1990's, when I was invited to produce three editions of hand pulled, multi plate lithographs at Stone Press Editions, in Seattle. Shortly thereafter, I made contact with Island International Artists on Guemes Island. I began making etchings which are shown and sold throughout the country. Most of my current printmaking work consists of monoprints with a lithograph matrix. The Lithographic part of the print can be repeated, usually in editions of 20 to 50. On top of the lithograph I print free form layers of color , referred to as "monotype".For more information on hand pulled prints, visit one of the many excellent printmaking sites on the internet.
