I am very proud and honoured to serve as the Member of Parliament for Keighley and Ilkley and am committed to doing everything I possibly can to represent and assist the people and businesses of Keighley and Ilkley.
This website should give you a flavour of the work I am doing, and have done, in Keighley and Ilkley but it is by no means exhaustive. If there is anything that you would like to raise or discuss with me, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Ann Cryer: "Jane Thomas is my natural successor"  I feel privileged to have spent the last 12 years as your representative, but I leave knowing that my successor will continue to work as hard I have done for Keighley and Ilkley.
Jane and I share many of the same concerns and priorities and I know that she will be both independent and fair minded.
What we don’t need is the Tory answer - slashing the budget deficit indiscriminately, cutting corporation tax whilst financing an inheritance tax hand out to the richest.
Rushing into expenditure cuts carries a greater risk of precipitating a deeper recession. And we reckon there is an alleged £34 billion black hole in Cameron’s plans.
I know Jane is committed to bringing fresh resources into the constituency and helping people through this global recession.
I feel she is my natural successor and look forward to working with her in the future, both before and after the General Election.
