Disaster is having both kitchen sinks clogged to oblivion, stinking up your entire apartment, & waiting nearly 24 hours before it gets fixed. Disaster is avoiding the kitchen at all costs, because the dirty dishes, the stench of old leftover food, & hardly any counter space makes you want to break into tears. Disaster is going out to buy a plunger in the middle of the night, & having that not work, along with 4 other methods of DIY clog-removing. (Baking soda & vinegar.) Disaster is watching the plumber choke back gags as he's using a snake to get the mildewed, rotten food out of 50 year old pipes. Thank god for plumbers.
