Rayguns in Progress

Here are the reassembled sconses, which are now a handsome pair of retro rayguns. the trigger guards are made of two layers of sheet brass, carefully bent, and then soldered together. The triggers are from a brass o-ring, with a brass bead soldered on. I carved a groove for the trigger guards with a boxcutter and a drill bit in my cordless screwdriver. I shielded the wood body from the torch when attaching the trigger guards with several layers of aluminum foil, leaving air gaps between layers. The gun on top is the Cinco de Mayo, and the second is the unpainted Cereza Negra.

Ah-ah, I know what you're thinking,

"Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I've kind of lost track myself. But being this is a .44 cordless — the most powerful cordless in the world — and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?
