I am currently a senior at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.  I am a math major and am also in the Teacher Education Program where I plan to receive a teaching license for secondary math.  After graduation, I plan to teach, and I am excited about beginning my career after having such positive experiences during my student teaching.

I grew up in the small town of Sherwood, Tennessee.  Most of my immediate family lives close by and I enjoy spending time with them.  I attend a small church in Sherwood where I teach a Sunday School class of 12-16 year olds.  I also play the trumpet and the piano and have played in the Sewanee Orchestra for the past four years.  My other interests include scrapbooking and playing/watching sports.  I love to watch the Tennessee Vols play football and to watch the Lady Vols play basketball.
