Description of task: In this assignment, you will select one or your personal interests or a cause you feel strongly about and use that as the content basis for your video project. You may use any number of digital assets that you can find to accomplish the goal. That means look for public domain images and/or video clips such as you might find in government databases like the Environmental Protection Agency (epa.gov) or NASA. Look for organizations who share your interest and who might also share images. Look for resources that have a Creative Commons license. Other digital assets may include music (that is free to use for educational purposes; NO copyright music). e-Porftolio Project 3 Transcription Description of task: In this assignment, you may capture video on your own, take digital photographs, and/or acquire digital assets (with permission) such as images, video clips, music, and sound effects. You will create a approximately 1-minute video presentation in which you attempt to convey an emotion to your audience. Do not use a narrative track throughout; however, if you believe that intermittent voiceover is necessary, you may include it (be prepared to defend its inclusion). Text is permissible if it helps to convey the emotion. Assume your audience for this assignment includes your classmates and instructor. Video Script For this video I will be attempting to convey an emotion ranging from a start of gloominess and solitude to in a way, draw in the attention of the audience, which in this case is my classmates and instructor. From this, I will plan to shift the theme of emotion in the second portion of the video to an uplifting mood of companionship, and appreciation for loved ones. In order to portray these emotions more dynamically, utilization of an array of digital stills and background theme music will help in bringing out certain emotions of the depictions in the various images. The first half should have a song that has a deep, somber tone to it, while the second song should be more uplifting and brighter. Text will also be used to conclude both sections of emotions. The first ending text will say, "no one should struggle, alone...". The second ending text will end on a brighter note saying, "Appreciate your loved ones", "Promote Happiness" e-Porftolio Project 5 Transcription My Digital iCreation Journey The approach I am planning to take with e-Portfolio 5 is to basically sum up, update progression, and illustrate what I have learned up to this point in the course. I will tie in concepts of newly learned editing techniques, sample works from my Jail Minitry project, and other factors that will help in communicating a message of reflection and assessment of my progress.
