MONDAY, JULY 4, 2011 - Today is once again the Fourth of July. This is the slideshow I put together when Diane came to visit us 4 years ago. WOW! It seems a lot longer than that. So many things have changed and so much water has gone under the bridge. So, I see below that two years ago, we had rainy weather. Everyone has been hoping for perfect weather to arrive (since June was pretty much rained out) and we finally have it! I'm finished being inside the house -- it's now time to get outside and ENJOY this weather while we have it. later, djb FLASHBACK TWO YEARS AGO: Saturday, July 4, 2009 - Today is the Fourth of July, 2009 and as I write this, it's raining outside. The temperature is in the 60's and we have postponed our festivities until tomorrow. We're going to call it the Fourth of July, plus One. Two years ago, when Diane flew up from Florida to visit us (and the TWO pet mice), we had "perfect" weather. That was good because she doesn't like to leave Florida for yukky weather (think: rain, fog, snow, cold, etc.). Since it's going to be less than lovely weather here today, I decided to look back and remember a time when we had sunny, warm, rain-free days. sigh......... Happy Fourth of July to you.
