Andrea Tagliasacchi is a Ph.D. student in the GrUVi Labs of the CS department at Simon Fraser University working under the co-supervision of Dr. Richard Zhang and Dr. Daniel Cohen-Or. His current research interests include computer graphics, geometry
processing, shape modeling and analysis. He has a particular interest
in variational methods, symmetry processing and axial representations
(e.g. medial axis and curve skeletons). He received his B.Sc. (cum laude) and M.Sc (cum laude) respectively in 2005 and 2007 from Politecnico di Milano, where he received the gold medal in graduate studies in 2006/7. Currently he is recipient of the full-time Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship awarded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council. |
