Our Mission Statement and Goals

The mission of the Anderson YMCA Triathlon Club is to promote the benefits of triathlon as part of a healthy lifestyle to the Anderson area.

Core Goals:

·    Provide a supportive and educational atmosphere for athletes of all levels to train and advance their skills.

·    Mentor novice athletes to complete training and racing goals

·    Challenge experienced athletes to reach new levels in training and racing.

Priorities:

1.  Increase membership of the club.

2.  Support production of local races including Anderson Y race (4/6) and Tri America Race (6/1) to ensure a safe and positive experience for all participants.

3.  Organize and assist with teaching a series of clinics to educate novice racers and provide them with the necessary skills to confidently undertake their first triathlon.

4.  Implement weekly training sessions to allow group members to train together in each discipline.

5.  Provide training programs and specialized clinics on each area of triathlon that would be available at additional cost to members

6. Work toward USAT sanctioning of the Anderson Y Tri Club
