Using Essential Oils

How Do I Use The Oils?

There are several ways to use the oils:

  •  "Inhale the essence directly from the bottle, using it as aromatherapy.  Also to receive the benefits is to place a drop or two in the palm of your hands, "stir” the oil clockwise to activate it, and then cup your hands over nose/mouth and inhale deeply three times.  Both of these actions will take the essential oils straight up the olfactory nerve in the nasal passage directly to the emotional center of the brain and within about 20 seconds the oils will be on their way to oxygenating your body through the bloodstream.
  • You can place the oils on the area of concern, or the bottoms of the feet.  Be sure to check if your oil needs to be diluted with a carrier oil such as olive oil or vegetable oils.
  • Diffusing the oils with a diffuser allows the molecules to merge with your environment and create a reaction based on the oils you choose, perhaps peace and calming, the  anti-viral actions of Thieves, purification and many more.
  • Many "oilers" also take the essential oils internally via gel capsules they fill and swallow. There are simple to follow directions via many testimonials and Young Living Therapeutic Essential Oils.

YL carries over 100 different essential oils and oil bends.

Lavender lavandula angustifolia  - Fresh, sweet, floral herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing.  Lavender can assist the body when adapting to stress and balances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.  Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty.  It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises and skin irritations.  Lavender may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods.

Peppermint (Mentha piperita) has a strong, clean, fresh, minty aroma. One of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion, it may also restore digestive efficiency.* Jean Valnet MD studied peppermint's supportive effect on the liver and respiratory systems. Other scientists have also researched peppermint's role in improving taste and smell when inhaled. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati studied peppermint's ability to improve concentration and mental sharpness. Alan Hirsch MD studied peppermint's ability to directly affect the brain's satiety center, which triggers a sensation of fullness after meals. This powerful essential oil is often diluted before topical application. Peppermint may also be used to enhance the flavor of food and water.

Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) has a sweet, warm, balsamic aroma that is stimulating and elevating to the mind. Useful for visualizing, improving one's spiritual connection, and centering, it has comforting properties that help focus the mind and overcome stress and despair. Frankincense is considered the holy anointing oil in the Middle East, where it has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. More recently, it has been used in European and American hospitals and is the subject of substantial research. Frankincense is also a valuable ingredient in skin care products for aging and dry skin. The ancient Egyptians used it in rejuvenation face masks

Testimonies:

"I was at my mother in laws when my sister said she had a terrible headache. She was sitting at the table hanging her head with her eyes closed in pain. I asked where, she pointed to the spot and I applied a single drop of Lavender oil. She was astonished. The pain left immediately. Relief. She is a distributor today."                     - Denese

"I use the Eucalyptus oil for my allergies by inhaling for only 3 days.  The results was remarkable.  Not only did it stop my allergy problem, my sense of smell has returned after 32 years. I can walk in the yard now and catually smell the different flowers and plants.  I  can smell the different crops and pesticides. It is amazing."        - Joe C. Visual, CA

"I recently had a flu like virus with chills and fever. One evening I had chills with 103 degree temperature and had on heavy pajamas, robe, socks etc. trying to keep warm. I remembered having some Peppermint Oil and placed one drop on my forehead
and back of my neck.  I also put some of the oil in my diffuser, but never got it plugged in, for by the time I got back in the den my fever had broken and I was shedding clothes as fast as I could."
                      - Bill S. Hurst, TX
