Although ancient natural formulas have worked for
centuries, they have been push aside for lab created synthetics. A National Academy of Sciences workshop concluded that some 15 percent of the American population suffers from chemical sensitivity. Researchers have traced this increased sensitivity to the proliferation of synthetic chemical in consumer products and furnishings.
Today Essential Oils are
being rediscovered in modern society, thanks to the work of doctors and
scientists (like Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, Jean Valnet, Daniel Penoel and Gary
Young), the healing power of essential oils is again gaining prominence. For best results, use only pure and natural
products; referred to as “therapeutic grade” Essential Oils
In 1921, Dr. René-Maurice Gattefossé, a French cosmetic chemist, received a 3rd degree thermal burn on his hand and
forearm while working. Looking to cool his burn he reached for a glass
of clear liquid and poured over his burns. The liquid was Lavender
oil. Once his hand and forearm was covered in the Lavender oil, it
instantly cooled the area. When the burns began to heal, there were no
scars. He researched the Lavender plant to discover what part of the
Lavender offered such remarkable healing properties. The research was
then turned over to a French medical doctor names Dr. John Valnet who
used the
oils in post war years of WW2 with shrapnel victims. Antibiotics
failed
to work, and Dr. Valnet was losing patients to gangrene. When he
began to use the oils on his patients, he saved every patient from that
point
onward.
We saw how Essential oils can greatly compliment Orthodox Medicine. However, they can also be used as a preventive and to support the immunity system. We are exposed daily to pollutants, chemical, and food additives. According to the Consumer Product Safety commission, "Of chemicals commonly found in homes, 150 have been linked to allergies, birth defects cancer, and psychological abnormalities."
Essential oils offer a means of prevention by strengthening the immune system, balancing the bloods PH and reducing free radicals. It's time to get back to the nature.
