During my search for natural and holistic healing alternative, I stumble upon a therapeutic grade essential oils. As I began researching the oils,  I learned there were over 200 references to oils, aromatics, incense, and ointments throughout the Old and New Testaments.

Most people are familiar with frankincense and myrrh which the three wise men brought to the Christ Child.  But did you also know the frankincense is one of the most powerful immune-boosting oils?  It is now being studied and used therapeutically in European Hospitals.  Then there is myrrh which contains not only an immune booster but also contains Anti Inflammatory property.

Other Aromatics mentioned in the bible are galbanum, cinnamon, cassia, rosemary, hyssop, and spikenard. In Exodus verse 30, there is even an oil recipe for anointing and healing the sick given to Moses by the Lord. 

As you can see Exodus verse 30, there is an oil recipe for anointing and healing the sick given to Moses by the Lord. Yes, "anointing and healing the sick." but do you know why the lord selected these these 5 oils?

Well, of course I had to look up the medicinal properties of these 5 oils. This is what I learn about the oils...

• Myrrh: Powerful antioxidant, antitumoral, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antiparasitic, analgesic/anesthetic
• Cassia: Anti-inflammatory antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, anticoagulant
• Cinnamon Bark: Anti-inflammatory, powerfully antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anticoagulant, circulatory, stimulant, stomach protectant (ulcer), antiparasitic
• Calamus: antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory (gastrointestinal)
• Olive Oil: is a carrier oil used to assist in the blending and applications of the oils. Olive oil is rich in cell-protecting, phyto-nutrients and antioxidants like squalene.

Wow, I think the Lord covered just about everything with just 5 oils. What do you think?

Did you know In the Bible the word ‘Perfume’ refers to the purest essential oil. However today’s perfumes are far from pure.  They are comprised of a complex mixture of natural materials and synthetic chemicals. Out of 5000 difference chemical that can be used in fragrances only 20% have been tested by the FDA and reported as toxic. A single fragrance can contain 150  different chemical.	"Mary took a pound of costly ointment of pure  spikenard and anointed the feet of Jesus and  wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was  filled with the fragrance of the ointment."     -John 12:3
