Hebrew Bible TanakhML
- The Hebrew Bible Online in XML. Not sure if they are using the
Westminster Leningrad Codex or the Michigan-Claremont Text. This
provides a nice parallel view with the KJV. Its best and most unique
feature is probably its accent parser. It breaks down a verse according
to the accent hierarchy. Westminster Leningrad Codex
- This is the WLC online in XML format. It is downloadable for offline
use. The WLC is the most reliable electronic Hebrew text. Aleppo Codex
- This text is supposed to be based on the Aleppo Codex and other
ancient manuscripts close to it. Downloadable for offline use. The
actual images are available here. www.anastesontai.com
- This site is in French, and has a Hebrew text that was made by
camparison to other versions. For the text with accents and vowels only
the Book of Genesis is available. If you need a translation, I
recommend Google Translate. The Unbound Bible - Run by Biola University, this has numerous versions of the Hebrew Bible, many of them taken from other sites. They include downloadable text files that make them easy change into different formats. Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia
- This is the electronic version of the print BHS. Made available by
the German Bible Society. This cannot be downloaded, but is accessible
on the site. Septuagint - LXX The Unbound Bible - Run by Biola University, this has a few versions derived from the CCAT text of UPenn (fortunately in Unicode). They include downloadable text files that make them easy change into different formats. CCAT LXX
- The University of Pennsylvania has the LXX that is morphologically
parsed, another that includes variants, and another that is parallel
with the Hebrew. These texts are unfortuately in transliteration. The Septuagint Online - These are some useful links to online sources for the Septuagint. Septuaginta (LXX)- This text is presumably the print editon of the Septuagint put out by the German Bible Society. Available on the site, but not downloadable. |
