I use several breathing techniques, Eastern and Western. One is Pranayama, which is an Eastern Yogic technique. Another is based in Bioenergetics, a Western technique, designed by a psychotherapist. These are deep, relaxed breathing technique that activate repressed creative energies stuck in the form of Chronic Muscle Tension and repressed memories, 'trapped' in the unconscious. Chronic Muscle Tension is responsible for the epidemic of dis-eases like depression, fatigue and fibromyalgia in our culture. After doing this breathwork, you will feel that some creative blocks were cleared, depression, anger, fear, resentment, anxiety have no place in the body, and the free universal energy circulates throughout the body. Rewiring of neurological circuitry happens during this breathwork and following it, during counseling. Circuitry that previously held energy trapped dissipate and new circuitry that allows energy to flow freely is formed. Breathwork has to be practiced on a regular basis, for this new neurological wiring to solidify. Once a transition is made fully, breathwork can be decreased to any desired amount. However, breathwork is so good for supporting general health and reducing the anxiety of daily stresses, that I recommend doing some kind of breathwork daily.
