I very rarely watch TV, but love good movies, especially world cinema. 9. I taught English in Japan for a year and loved many things about it, but hated the way most people wanted to conform! 10. I have travelled extensively in Latin America, living there for a few years. 11. My favourite holiday destination is Thailand. 12. Photographed at the U-Boat exhibit at Resort World. Art work by Ferdinand Cacnio. I am honored and privileged to get invited whenever Ferdinand (or "Ferdie" as we call him) unveils his latest works. Ferdinand finished his studies at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, with degrees in BS Psychology and BS Civil Engineering. With no formal training in the arts, he has been nurtured in the aesthetics of fine arts since childhood with the mentoring of his artist-father and members of the Philippine art world. In 2005, his career as a sculptor started with a successful solo sculpture exhibit “The Dancer.” In that same year, he bagged an award from the Art Association of the Philippines. His passion has produced a public art work in Bonifacio Global City, seven solo exhibits, and several group shows and art auctions. His recent exhibit, “Sapatusin,” (October 2009) received the critical nod of Alice Guillermo. Ferdie Cacnio is a member of the Tuesday Group of Artists, Art Association of the Philippines, Sining Tambobong and Society of Philippine Sculptors.
