Recipe For Oreo Cookie Balls : Slow Cooker Chicken Recipes Australia : 1961 Betty Crocker Cookbook. Recipe For Oreo Cookie Balls
Oreo Balls! Well, they're not balls yet. This is one of the most awesome things you can do with Oreos. Here's the recipe: (1) package of regular Oreos (NOT "Double Stuft) (1) 8oz package of cream cheese, softened (room temp) (1) 20oz bar of white chocolate (or "almond bark") Finely crush one entire package of Oreo cookies. I used a hammer, but a rolling pin should work. No big chunks! 12 Oreos fit neatly into one Ziploc 1quart storage bag for crushing. ;-) Mix crushed Oreos with the cream cheese until no more white is visible. (See picture.) You will be tempted to eat this. And, really, if you stop here, no one would fault you. Except your guests, unless you get them each a spoon. ;-) Chill this mixture for an hour, to make it easier to form into balls. "Walnut-sized" balls may be formed by hand, or you could use a scoop. I used a "60". (See picture) Chill the balls for at least an hour. While chilling, melt 3/4 of the package of white chocolate. Cover the balls with the melted white chocolate, using whatever method you prefer... I dipped them by hand, like one would do truffles in chocolate. Allow the chocolate to dry (or cool, same thing) -- if you can restrain yourself. ;-) Serve. Yum! Good for dunkin too!!
I have been wanting to try this recipe but with the crazy heat wave we have been having I didn't want to use the oven! Well finally we had a couple cooler days only in the mid 90's :) yep that's right mid 90's is cooler then it has been LOL.... Didn't last either temps went right back up :(( Anyway these are Delicious but how can they not be with chocolate chips and Oreo's in the batter Yum! Double Fudge Oreo Crunch Cookies makes about 30 cookies 1 cup butter, at room temperature 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups flour 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup chocolate chips 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt and mix until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos. Refrigerate dough for 2-4 hours (or more). When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350, roll into balls or scoop with an ice cream scooper and set on baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely.
