About Me
 

**I grew up in Newaygo and attended school here K-12.  My interests were basketball, volleyball, track and softball.  I also participated in class plays.

**I attended Cornerstone University to receive a B.A. in 1987.

** I worked at several places with the Soil Conservation District both at the local and Federal level on and off for several years.

**I was also a nanny in New York City.  Fun stuff.

** I worked at the Vera Wilsie Elementary school as a reading parapro.

**I went back to school and earned my teaching certificate and this is my fifth year teaching.  I taught 2nd grade for two years and 6th grade Science for 2 years.  This is my third year at this school.  I love being here!

**I completed my Master's degree last summer.

** I am the 8th grade girl's basketball coach.

**I have a husband named Bruce and a daughter Carlee.  I also have two dogs, Spot and Star, and a cat named Hunter.

**My hobbies include traveling, hiking and relaxing at home.

**My goal is that every student appreciate Science because it is all around them.
