"Cola-Cola"
"Cola-Cola"
“Cola” Cola is a sweet, carbonated drink usually with caramel coloring and containing caffeine. Originally invented by the druggist John Pemberton, it has become popular worldwide. Today, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and RC Cola have become the major international brands, leading to the drink often being seen as a symbol of the United States. The word cola may have been introduced into the mainstream by the major producer Coca-Cola, as they saw their trademark slipping into common use, like other genericized trademarks. They successfully defended the exclusive use of their name and its diminutive form "Coke" by suggesting the alternative of "cola drink" as a generic name for similar types of carbonated soft drinks. The word cola as part of the Coca-Cola trademark may have originated from the kola nuts that were originally used as the source of caffeine, or from when the original recipe contained coca (from which cocaine is derived). Coca Cola Advert
Coca Cola Advert
As part of my After Effects Unit this year we had to produce a 30 second advertisement for any product we wanted. I chose Coca Cola and decided that my advert was going to change the face of generic advertising by not being shot on a beach with bikini girls and topless boys but be shot in the good old Aussie Bush on a cool Autumn day in order to portray that Coca Cola is not just a seasonal drink but can keep you refreshed all year round nomatter what your up to. So I hope thats the message it portrays as that was what I was going for. Special thanks too to the girls for the fun day and letting me film them. Please note: This advert was produced as part of a student project and is in no way linked to The Coca Cola Company
