It's finally getting cold enough to snow from time to time. The early conditions make me anxious for winter and it feels like skiing is still so far away! I know it's just around the corner but I've got that itch to ski!

Summer was amazing and filled with some great times. Spent part of it up in Mount Hood helping Dynastar in the demo center. The rest was action-packed with biking, camping and good friends.

Two days in a row of knee deep powder! There's nothing quite like a mountain bike ride in 70 degree temps one day and then skiing a foot of fresh snow four days later!

 Alta was almost as crowded as during the regualr season, lines of people hiking up to ski the upper reaches of the resort. And even more surprising was the amount of snowboarders taking advantage of the closed resort. The ratio was probably four boarders per skier. It's hard to believe there could be so much good skiing in October! Let's just hope it keeps up all winter!
