Our Story: Grace Callahan, our oldest daughter, was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (a very enlarged, weak pumping heart) at 11 days of age. After an initial hospitalization, she was able to live a fairly normal life for 7 years. Her symptoms worsened significantly and she was listed for a heart transplant in January, 2010. She received her new heart on Easter Sunday! She is doing well and we are very blessed that she is back at home.
She is our Easter Miracle!
Children's Cardiomyopathy Foundation helps to raise funds for research to combat this disease. Your purchase allows me the enjoyment of woodworking, it allows your daughter or granddaughter the joy of playing with the furniture as both my girls do, and allows money to be raised for important medical research that is important to so many families we have come to know through our own journey with this disease.
