Welcome.  There is nothing for sale here.  Just free information pertaining to speakers and subwoofers that we hope you find useful, inspiring or at least entertaining.

 

There is a constantly expanding Projects section documenting our personal speaker builds.  Not all the projects were big hits and we don't try to hide that.  There's just as much to be learned from the failures as from the winners.  Projects are presented with a minimum of subjective description and opinion.  Instead, we prefer to tell most of the story from design to build with big pictures of predicted response graphs, measurements and pictures of the built speaker. 

 

We have a Recommended Software section detailing the strengths and limitations of our top 10 most used audio and speaker design software.  Large screenshots are intended to encourage readers to try out these helpful apps.  Most of them are free and the two that aren't free are still quite reasonable.

 

The Theory pages are a collection of speaker related topics and things I've learned.  Whenever possible I will use charts, graphs and any other means possible to explain the subject without complex math.  Sometimes a bit of math is unavoidable so expect to see a few simple equations.
